Incase ${env.property_name} doesnot work try by removing env.
Example: 
spring.data.mongodb.database=${env.MONGO_DATABASE} didnot work 

--> use spring.data.mongodb.database=${MONGO_DATABASE}

note: you already had this dependency in your pom.xml for dotenv

		<dependency>
			<groupId>me.paulschwarz</groupId>
			<artifactId>spring-dotenv</artifactId>
		</dependency>
